A graduate in Economics and Politics from the University of Kent, Mark Skinner founded CSC Recruitment as a consultancy-led construction business with his business partner Tom Compton in 2005, to work with clients looking for a recruitment partner rather than merely a supplier. As Managing Director, Mark is responsible for overseeing company strategy and ensuring all company objectives are met, with a focus on development of all staff, working closely with Jamie and the management team. Mark is also responsible for innovation and ensuring CSC is at the forefront of industry developments.

A Graduate in classics from the University of Exeter, Tom established CSC Recruitment with Mark Skinner in 2005, and has overseen the development of the business from scratch to what it is today. As Sales Director, Tom is based in the London office but responsible for day-to-day recruitment activity within the business, ensuring that consultants and managers are servicing the needs of their clients and candidates and that the CSC brand is prominent within the industry. He is also responsible for managing our Senior and Executive search business as well as developing new markets and sectors for the company.

An experienced recruiter within the construction sector, David has specialised in both the permanent and freelance market for over 20 years. David joined CSC Recruitment on day one and has played a major part in the business growth. He has recruited within new build, refurbishment and fit out. Passionate about self-development, David has a CMI management qualification and is an NLP practitioner.

Refurbishment and fit out

A Graduate in English, Karen started her Construction Recruitment career in 2001 specialising in permanent appointments with Contractors and Developers. She joined CSC when the business was founded in 2005 and now manages the Residential Developer Team in London. Karen’s client base is built on strong business relationships with key clients, which predominantly have been established over many years. These relationships are with Contractors as well as Developers.

James is from both a construction and sales background and joined CSC at the beginning of 2013, taking on the freelance fit out and refurbishment desk. Throughout this time, he has been tasked with maintaining existing and building new client relationships, which has proved a great success, supplying a range of freelance white collar management across a variety of roles within production, commercial, preconstruction and design.  He is honest, approachable and determined and is one of CSCs great office personalities, with an ever-upbeat manner. A trustworthy, professional and friendly character ready for any challenge.

Fit Out & Refurbishment 

After graduating in English Literature from the University of the West of England, Jo decided to pursue a career in recruitment, initially working within the IT and Education sectors. Having moved to London, she then joined CSC where she heads up the Social Housing team for the London Region.

Vickie joined CSC in April 2013 and has over 20 years’ experience within the construction recruitment industry, working alongside sales staff, management and within the Support team. She coordinates and manages all the services within the company as well as dealing with the compliance alongside the accounts department.
She enjoys looking after the people around her and helping in any way she can.

Aaron is from a bespoke customer service/sales background and has over 7 years of construction recruitment experience. He specialises in the residential, Commercial and public sector markets. He has extensive experience supporting Start up construction businesses right through to delivering for tier 1 contractors throughout the nation. Additionally, he supports developers within the new build social housing and private markets. He supplies a range of white-collar staff crossing multiple disciplines such as; Commercial, Technical/Design and Production. He is described as passionate, hardworking and driven. His work ethic is second to none, he cares and that is what makes him an outstanding professional.

Commercial, Technical/Design, Production and Customer Care/Service

From an accountancy background which has helped Simon develop possibly the most extensive range of spreadsheets in the office, Simon joined the freelance team at CSC recruitment in 2020 having spent 5 years working for a competitor in the market, and has build up a broad spectrum of contacts in the construction market in the South of England. With a passion for new business and new markets, Simon is now working with a number of our established clients in the residential and contracting markets but also working with a number of new clients in both the modular and retail space.

With an eagerness to work in a fast paced sales environment, Callan decided to pursue a career in recruitment. Initially Callan worked in medical recruitment and spent 3.5 years going through the ranks at a specialist agency. After this period, Callan switched to the construction industry and has remained In this space ever since. Callan initially specialised in production roles but now focuses predominantly on commercial and technical roles. Callan joined CSC in 2020 and is part of the London Permanent Team working with Residential Developers.

Residential

Reegan studied Performing Arts at college and having completed her course went onto teaching dance to all ages at a dance school in Essex. Reegan then continued to teach on a part time basis when she started working for a small company in an administration role. After a couple of year working locally, Reegan wanted to work in the city in a more business focused role and joined a large recruitment organisation sourcing Architects for clients in Berlin. Reegan found she enjoyed recruitment and joined CSC working in our Fit Out team assisting with both freelance and permanent requirements.

Fit out / Refurb

Saskia began her career as a school leaver and initially started an apprenticeship within Business Development working for a Marketing company.

After gaining her skills from her Business Development Studies, Saskia turned to recruitment as a career where she could further progress using her skills and worked for a Construction specialist agency for 3 years. In that time, Saskia gained experience in several sectors such as Design & Technical, Production and Document Control and Administrator roles for both Main Contractors and Developers. Saskia has joined CSC to cover all permanent vacancies within our well-established Fit Out team, working with a few leading clients in the London and South East market.

Perm Fit Out

A graduate of the University of Portsmouth James has over 6 years of recruitment experience. He has successfully supported clients in the UK and Europe, ASIA, the US, and South America, placing candidates in a broad range of roles from middle management to senior level. James prides himself on being honest, reliable, and professional, and aims to build strong and long-standing relationships with his clients and candidates. James has joined CSC to specialise in Customer Care, Services, Aftercare, and Defects for construction management businesses, blue-chip Main Contractors, and Residential Developers, working nationwide.

Customer Care and Aftercare

Mia decided to pursue a career in Sales. She was interested in technical recruitment and gained some experience across a range of sectors within both white-collar and blue-collar staffing specialist firms, working in different markets, including Civil Engineering, Blue-collar trades, and Fit-out. Mia prides herself on being honest, reliable, and attentive to her candidates' and clients' needs, which helps her build strong, long-lasting relationships. Mia joined CSC to specialise in Fit-Out, working with our dedicated team and dealing with leading clients across London and the South-East of England.

Commercial

Alex grew up in South Wales before moving to England to attend university in Liverpool, where he studied Music. After University, Alex came to London and worked in the hospitality sector. He had a successful career spanning over 15 years, working in some of London’s premier establishments, where he was accustomed to rubbing shoulders with A-list celebrities on a daily basis. In recent years, Alex felt that, despite enjoying many aspects of his life, he wanted to change careers but wanted to stay in a ‘people industry’ where he could combine strong people skills with an instinct for client and customer service. Alex joined the CSC team in 2025, working in the permanent team with a portfolio of contracting and developer clients, recruiting across various disciplines.

Build

Olivia began her career in recruitment after finishing full-time education. Olivia began working for a recruitment company specialising in the Civil Engineering market, where she spent over 4 years. She then decided she wanted to see some of the world and pursued a dream of travelling to Asia and Australia. Upon return, Olivia knew that she wanted to return to recruitment and did exactly that, spending time in the Civils and Technology sectors before joining CSC. Previously in her career, Olivia had mainly covered interim and contract roles, but wanted to make the change to working on a permanent desk, as she feels like she is more suited to building lasting relationships and loves speaking with all different types of people and trying to help them find their dream role! Olivia has therefore joined the busy CSC permanent Fit Out team, working with some of London’s top commercial fit-out clients and assisting the team to fill roles in all disciplines.
