‘Why helping someone seek new employment should be personal.’ Emma Hunter, Consultant
Normally when someone is looking for a new role they focus on why they don’t like in their job, but not on what they actually do like and they end up moving again. People don’t always know what is on offer out there and to get the best options we need to make sure we open their eyes to all sorts of possibilities that sit within their ideal: this is where the consulting part of our job title comes in.
A move tends to be more emotional than people think and that is why we meet candidates face-to-face, so we can build trust to ensure them that we have their best interests at heart. We can guide them on how to make the right move or build the foundations to get them where they want to be. We place the stepping stones by which they can reach a role that ticks all the boxes. When I know I’ve successfully placed someone in a position that will make them truly happy, there is such a great sense of joy in being a part of their journey.
