The Surveyor assists the Commercial Manager and Construction Director in managing project costs, including sub-contract labour; risk and value for each construction project undertaken by the Group.
The post holder is a key member of the Commercial Team and will ensure that they align their job role with departmental strategies and changing business dynamics or goals of the Group.
In addition, to develop relationships with key internal and external stake holders to solicit feedback that delivers continuous improvement throughout the business.
My client, an Award Winning Housebuilder, who deliver exceptional quality developments throughout Southern England. An established land regeneration business, focused on developing sites for residential and mixed use projects.
You will have construction experience ideally from a Residential or Main Contractor background. Working as a Quantity Surveyor you will need to have covered the full cycle of surveying. Ideally looking for someone with RC Frame experience. Undertake supplier costs; risk management; monitoring and reporting; and value management for the Group according the Group's commercial strategy. Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external customers and suppliers. Liaise with other functional/departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs for operational development. Report to the Commercial Manager timely and accurate reporting as requested by him, either on a regular or ad hoc basis. Be personally responsible for own personal continuous professional development, ensuring that he/she remains fully skilled and trained and effective in the post.
What You Can Expect
A base salary between £60,000 to £65,000 depending on experience. In addition to this the company will offer you a basic package including benefits.
