Position: Graduate Technical/Design Coordinator for a niche developer.
Job Summary: Day release / recently graduated individual starting out in their career.
Salary & Location: Circa £28,000 plus benefits - based in Essex
Company: A privatively owned, cash rich residential developer who have a fabulous reputation for designing and creating quality properties across the northern home counties. Focusing on design lead schemes taking them from inception through to completion, they have recently retained numerous greenfield sites with the next five years looking very successful. Due to this, they are looking for a graduate Technical Coordinator that wants to be given the opportunity to join their small, dynamic team.
The Role: Reporting Directly to the Technical Director, you will be working closely with a Technical Manager who will assist in teaching you the processes and procedures needed to be successful within the Technical Discipline. Duties will include but not exclusive to:
- Provide full administrative support to regional site based operations for working drawings, ancillary details and technical information.
- Review design details and drive improvements without adding costs.
- Work with the project team to ensure the most desired and economical decisions are made and implemented into the design.
- Organise and take minutes of design team meetings.
- Monitor and resolve building control and warranty issues in advance of completion.
- Working closely with External Consultants: Regulatory Bodies, Adopting Authority, Statutory Undertakers, NHBC, CDM Co-Ordinator's
The Candidate: You will have a recent degree within Construction Management or Architecture - this will include an opportunity to carry out a day release schedule. You may also be working in the industry for the past couple of years, ideally with another developer or main contractor that carry out residential projects.
