Salary: £50,000 - £75,000/annum
Title: Senior Construction Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Manager to join a tier one commercial fit out and refurbishment main contractor in London. As a Senior Construction Manager, you will report directly to the Project Manager, acting as the No.2 on schemes ranging in value from £20m-£150m+.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the construction process, ensuring quality, safety and environmental standards are met and delivered on time and within budget.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee and manage site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure their work is carried out to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations and standards.
• Lead by example, promoting a positive safety culture and encouraging a proactive approach to risk management.
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving any issues that arise in a timely and effective manner.
• To take responsibility for strategic control of the programme.
• To take a lead role in the presentation of the project to the client.
• To offer buildability advice and value engineering solutions.
• Be aware of element costings and costs/ft2 .
• Promote and implement Zero Defects Initiative

Skills and Experience:

• Extensive experience in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial fit out and refurbishment projects.
• Strong technical knowledge and expertise in construction methodologies and techniques.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
• Experience managing projects ranging in value from £20m-£150m+.
• Thorough understanding of M&E systems.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to manage project budgets and deliver projects within agreed financial parameters.
• A proactive approach to safety, with a strong commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all those involved in the project.
• Relevant construction qualifications and certifications, such as a degree in construction management or similar.
