Salary: £75,000 - £80,000/annum

Job Description:

We are currently recruiting a Senior Surveyor for a main contractor that operate within the maintenance, construction and fire protection sectors and are based in Kent. They are an impressive outfit with sustainable growth plans and operate as specialists within working sectors.

Responsibilities

As the Senior Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing a small team of surveyors as well as leading the commercials on multiple projects concurrently, ranging from £200k-£2m in size.

Key Responsibilities:

•           Carry out detailed cost analysis and manage project budgets

•              Manage and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers

•              Managing projects from inception to completion

•              Provide commercial and contractual advice to senior management

•              Prepare and submit regular reports to senior management on project progress

•              Liaise with the wider project team to ensure that all aspects of the project are                 delivered

•              Identify potential risks and make recommendations for mitigating them

•              Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and                              company policies

•              Manage variations, claims and final accounts

Candidate requirements

Requirements:

•           Proven experience working as a Senior Surveyor

•              Excellent commercial and contractual acumen

•              Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•              Good communication and interpersonal skills

•              Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

•              Flexibility to travel to various sites across multiple sectors

•              Experience in leading commercial aspects on multiple projects concurrently

•              Understanding of construction project management principles and practices
