Working with a highly collaborative Main Contractor who focusses on the commercial fit out and refurbishment market in Central London, CSC Recruitment are subsequently engaging for a Project Manager with extensive experience in this niche sector.

They have one of the best names in the Fit-Out market and their name is synonymous with commercial fit out.  The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of fit-out projects up to £10 million, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.


Responsibilities

Project Planning and Initiation:

Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

Conduct thorough site assessments and feasibility studies.

Coordinate with clients, designers, and architects to define project scope and objectives.

Budget Management:

Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency.

Monitor project expenses and implement cost-control measures.

Provide regular financial reports to senior management.

Team Leadership and Coordination:

Lead and manage the project team, including subcontractors and suppliers.

Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.

Conduct regular team meetings to review progress and address any issues.

Quality Control and Assurance:

Ensure all work meets high standards of quality and client specifications.

Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits and implement corrective actions

Schedule Management:

Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion.

Identify potential delays and implement mitigation strategies.

Provide regular progress updates to clients and senior management.

Risk Management:

Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation plans.

Monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle.

Implement contingency plans as necessary.

Health and Safety Compliance:

Ensure all project activities comply with health and safety regulations.

Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.

Promote a culture of safety within the project team.

Client and Stakeholder Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and address concerns.

Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders.

Ensure client satisfaction through proactive management and problem-solving.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, plans and reports.

Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.

Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.


Candidate requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in fit-out projects.
  • Proven track record of managing projects up to £10 million.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and building regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
