Title: Project Manager
My client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead the delivery of a £13m mixed-use development in East London. This project comprises 38 residential units and a ground-floor commercial space, designed to enhance the local community and contribute to the area's ongoing regeneration.
Responsibilities
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Project Leadership:** Oversee the end-to-end management of the development, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- **Stakeholder Management:** Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, local authorities, and community groups, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- **Budget and Cost Control:** Monitor and manage the project budget, ensuring all financial objectives are met and value for money is achieved across all aspects of the development.
- **Risk Management:** Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the smooth progression of the project, minimizing disruptions and delays.
- **Quality Assurance:** Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant building regulations, health and safety standards, and the project's quality requirements.
- **Team Coordination:** Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative working environment.
- **Reporting:** Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on the project's status, challenges, and successes.
Candidate requirements
**Qualifications and Experience:**
- Proven experience managing large-scale residential or mixed-use developments, ideally in urban environments.
- Strong knowledge of UK construction regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Experience working with local authorities and navigating planning permissions in London is a plus.
- Relevant degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., PMP, RICS) are desirable.
