Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Package
Title: Quantity Surveyor

CSC Recruitment are currently working with a respected and privately owned main contractor who work on a regional basis.  We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for a project based in the heart of the City of London. 

This role will be working within & assisting the commercial & construction team to ensure a £50 million cut & carve project is delivered, while maintaining company relationships and increasing financial returns and manage risk.

Responsibilities

• Analysing, selecting appropriate sub-contractors, negotiation & finalise sub-contractor orders, commercial management of sub-contractors to Final Account completion.
• Managing and reporting of forecasts, target, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in the site records.
• Liaise with & commercially influence site management team whilst protecting the company
• Manage & oversee junior staff, if necessary, checking & taking responsibility for their work & sign-off SMM/measurement issues

Candidate requirements

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in new build commercial projects
• A relevant degree or vocational qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• Experience in report writing, forecast planning and engaging with clients and senior leaders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
