Salary: £35,000 - £45,000/annum + Package
Title: Site Engineer
You will take responsibility for supporting the delivery of the civil engineering works on site, ensuring all technical, quality, and compliance aspects are met.
This is a hands-on role with a wide and varied remit, ideal for an engineer looking to further develop their experience on a large-scale infrastructure project.
Responsibilities
- Setting out and levelling using GPS and/or total station equipment
- Ensuring all works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programme
- Implementing company procedures, inspections, and documentation
- Ensuring compliance with SHEQ policies and site safety standards
- Reviewing and ensuring RAMS are in place and adhered to
- Maintaining accurate site records for labour, plant, and materials
- Managing and monitoring non-conformance reports (NCRs)
- Producing weekly/monthly progress reports
- Supporting short-term programming and communicating risks to the management team
- Building strong relationships with site teams and supply chain

A leading Main Contractor is seeking a Site Engineer to join the team on the development of a major new terminal facility at Port Ellen on the Isle of Islay.
This £80M infrastructure scheme is just commencing, offering a fantastic opportunity to be involved from the ground up on a technically interesting, marine-based project.
Candidate requirements
- HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles and best practices
- Previous experience in a Site Engineer role
- Willingness to travel and work across the UK
Desirable:
- BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering or similar
- Experience within marine or heavy civil engineering projects
