Salary: £50,000 - £60,000/annum + Package
Title: Engineering Supervisor
We’re seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead the on-site engineering team across four premium residential buildings.
The role focuses on the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and compliance of all M&E and life-safety systems, ensuring smooth building performance and minimal impact on residents. You’ll manage a mix of in-house engineers and external contractors, oversee reactive and planned maintenance, and support lifecycle and capital projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead site engineers and hard-services contractors to maintain M&E, HVAC, lighting, water, access control, and life-safety systems.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, building standards, and health & safety requirements.
- Manage reactive maintenance, PPM schedules, and system performance, escalating risks as needed.
- Oversee contractors, monitor performance, and support procurement and tendering.
- Support capital works, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives.
- Mentor and develop the engineering team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with estate and commercial teams to maintain premium resident experiences.
Candidate
- Qualified in mechanical/electrical engineering or building services; Health & Safety certifications preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing engineering/hard-services in high-end residential or mixed-use environments.
- Strong knowledge of statutory systems and compliance (e.g., L8, EICR, SFG20, LOLER, PUWER).
- Experienced in team management, contractor oversight, and CAFM/maintenance systems.
- Technically credible, calm under pressure, approachable, and proactive in problem-solving.
Candidate requirements
