Title: Internals Site Manager


You will be responsible for overseeing various internal works on a large-scale 300-unit residential development in Dorset. This role involves managing and coordinating the internal trades, ensuring that the internal aspects of the project are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Responsibilities

Management of Internal Works, oversee all internal fit-out activities, including plastering, carpentry, painting, flooring, MEP installations, and final finishes, ensure that all work meets the specified standards and regulations, conducting regular inspections and snagging, enforce on-site health and safety policies, ensuring all contractors and workers adhere to safety regulations, work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that internal works progress according to the construction programme and timelines, coordinate and manage subcontractors involved in internal trades, ensuring efficient work and resolving any issues or conflicts, address any issues or obstacles that arise in the internal fit-out process, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines, provide regular updates to the Project Manager on progress, quality, and any challenges or risks, liaise with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery, ensure materials for internal works are ordered, delivered on time, and stored correctly.


Candidate requirements
  • Have a proven track record as a Site Manager on large-scale residential projects, with a focus on internal fit-out works.
  • Have relevant construction management qualifications (NVQ, SMSTS, or equivalent).
  • Have strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple trades.
  • In-depth knowledge of internal construction processes, building regulations, and HSE requirements.
  • Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office.

Preferred experience

  • Experience working on residential projects with over 100+ units.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
