Salary: £500 - £600/day
Title: Planner

My client are seeking an experienced Construction Planner to join our team for a brand new commercial development in City of London with a project value of £87m.

You will be responsible for:

• Liaise with clients, designers, subcontractors, suppliers and local authorities and undertakings on all matters relating to planning and programming.
• Appraisal and co-ordination of subcontractor's programmes and feedback to them on changing main programme information.
• Prepare and present reports on programme and progress on all aspects of the project, and to attend and contribute to site meetings.
• Assist in the management of change in regards of impact on programmes and progress.
• To prepare comprehensive site layouts sequences and prepare presentations as necessary (PowerPoint, Visio, Sketchup).
• Implementation of Company procedures.
• Work collaboratively and openly with the delivery team in the production and reporting of the programme and maintaining good working relationship with them.
• Overall planning and scheduling activities for the project using ASTA.
• Producing and updating construction schedules and providing ongoing scheduling support.
• Developing detailed project plans as well as monitoring project schedules, milestones and completion timetables.
• Assessing status reports, monitoring site progress and updating schedules accordingly.
• Identifying improvement opportunities through analysis of data.
• Pro-actively negotiating deadlines and resource levelling issues.
• Effectively communicating and influencing when liaising with stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in a Construction Planner role.
• Experience working with Tier 1 Contractors.
• Experience with ASTA and other planning software.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
