Title: Senior Site Manager (No.1) - Construction Commercial Fit Out

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Site Manager/Project Manager to join our team in Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial fit out projects, demonstrating expertise in managing projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with clients, coordinating trades, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage commercial fit out projects ranging from £500k to £5m in value.
• Take ownership of projects from initial planning stages through to final handover.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades effectively to ensure project milestones are met.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
• Monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure projects are delivered within agreed parameters.
• Implement and maintain strict health and safety standards on site.
• Proactively identify and resolve any project risks or challenges as they arise.

Candidate requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the commercial fit out sector.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project management.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Based in or near Cambridge, with the flexibility to travel to project sites as required.
